Bindery and Finishing Our complete line of bindery services gives you the advantage of having your entire print/mailing job done under one roof. Our machine automation and experienced operators deliver consistently great-looking print pieces. Here is our complete list of bindery and finishing services: Folding Grit’s B-26 26 x 44 Stahl folders (shown at right) and two Baum folders are capable of delivering almost any fold you need! Below are just a few examples of the most common folds. Scoring We score heavier papers (65 lb. cover and heavier) to prevent paper fibers from breaking at the fold. We can also prescore sheets should you prefer to receive them flat and fold as needed. Perforating For burst-out business reply cards, courtesy cards and tear-aways – our perfs are created on-site to increase turn around times. Saddle Stitching From a 4-page plus cover book to 120 page or 1/4” thick self cover, Grit’s Muller Martini 6-pocket plus cover saddlebinder is capable of delivering stitched books at high speed and trim them all to the same size – giving your books a great finished look!

Grit's Stahl folders can deliver even the most complex folds.   Our six-pocket Muller Martini saddlebinder can stitch up to 1/4" thick.

3-Hole Drilling Three-hole drilling is the perfect way to organize catalogs, brochures and other printed items in one binder. We can drill 1/8” to 1/2” diameter holes in one, two, three or more configurations. Grit can even supply ready-to-hang drilled retail tags and hangers. Collating We can collate up to 22 different 50 lb. to 70 lb. offset pieces together in one pass in just about any size up to 13” x 17” on our Bourg collator. Inserting Grit’s Phillipsburg Inserter can insert up to 6 pieces into an envelope. Envelope sizes can range from small invitations up to 6” x 9”. Shrinkwrapping Shrinkwrapping is a great way to protect packs of slips or group multiple mailing pieces together for better postal savings. Our Weldotron semi-automatic shrinkwrapper delivers packed items in a clear, tight wrap that still allows printed graphics to be visible. We have even more to offer...
