File Transfer (FTP) Instructions The fastest, easiest and most economical way of sending electronic prepress files and mail list files to Grit is by using FTP. Here are the basic instructions on "how to" upload and download your files. There are two possible ways to upload and download your files via FTP. You can use an FTP Client such as CuteFTP or SmartFTP for the PC or Fetch for the Macintosh, or use a web browser such as Internet Explorer. FTP Client (CuteFTP shown) Create a new FTP shortcut for Grit. Enter a site name of your choice, and the following host address, username and password: Host Address: client.gritprinting.com Username: gritftp Password: sluggo Click the "connect" button. Once connected, you can drag and drop files from the left pane (represents your local computer) to the right pane (Grit's FTP site). Once you have uploaded your files, please e-mail Grit's prepress department to notify them of the uploaded file.
